Pincushion Mountain

Description:

One of Peachland’s hidden treasures is Pincushion Mountain. Pincushion is a steep trail leading to a panoramic view of the Southern Okanagan Lake. A Canadian flag proudly stands at the summit of the mountain; this makes for amazing Instagram photos. This hike is good for new hikers or to have a hike date with someone special.

The trail is very clearly marked and there are only a couple tricky sections. One section will have you supporting yourself on a tree for a quick decline and the other is just trick footing up a small rock face. At a moderate pace one could reach the summit in 45 minutes. For one looking for a challenge, this hike can be finished in 20 minutes. We do not recommend rushing this hike however, as the view is breathtaking the whole way up.

Every time you turn back to look at the lake the view will get better, that’s a bearlives guarantee. Once you get to the top, don’t miss the Canadian flag! This flag is hidden lower than the summit and is tricky to spot. HERE are the coordinates to the flag, just in case you can’t find it.
