ENDerby bluffs
Description:
Enderby Bluffs is a great mid winter hike, with wide trails and plenty of tree cover it makes for a perfect sheltered path all the way up to the viewpoints. This is a fairly well travelled trail year round so just follow the snowshoe tracks ahead of you in the winter and you can’t go wrong.
With the trailhead starting in Enderby this trail remains accessible by all vehicles, all year round. With stunning views of the Enderby valley this trail makes for a perfect spot to pack a picnic and enjoy lunch with a view from the top.
The first part of the hike is a consistent incline up a forested area following one of the many trails heading up the mountain. Once you reach beginning of the ridge, you have the option of walking along the entire ridge alongside the cliffs. Personally we just stopped at the first viewpoint which offered panoramic views of the cliff face and the Enderby Valley.
Do to the steady incline, this trail is also a very popular snowshoeing trail in the winter, and thanks to the dense tree coverage, you are mostly covered from any harsh winds.
