divide lake

Description:

Divide Lake was the hike that made Jason fall in love with hiking. This is a different type of hike. The path is easy and the incline is shallow. The reason this is an intermediate hike is the length. It is an 18km hike up a mountain to a lake. It doesn't sound exciting, but the lake is breathtaking and the journey is a rite of passage for those looking to push themselves.

Jogging is popular on this hike as the path is well maintained and the incline is manageable. We highly recommend bringing a large amount of water on this hike. For information on how to do that, check out our GEAR page.

Once you trek the path up, you will be greeted with an outhouse, a firepit and Divide Lake. This area is magical. Getting to the lake is a true milestone for those new to hiking. We took a dip in the lake and had a wonderful time.

We hope that this will make you fall in love with hiking, just like we did. Remember to take only pictures and leave only footprints.
